The Esporta IS4000 Process

About the Esporta Wash System

  • Patented and independently lab-tested for cleaning and sanitizing sports equipment and work apparel.

  • Delivers "food grade" cleanliness regardless of bacteria or contamination.

  • No comparison in the cleaning industry for effectiveness and safety.

  • Complies with NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) care guidelines.

Traditional Washing Machines vs. Esporta

Traditional Washing Machines

  • Rely on four basic principles:

    • Mechanical Action: rubbing, twisting, squeezing, agitating (can damage items and the machine).

    • Time: longer washes clean better but break down fabric structure.

    • Cleaning Agent: typically household soap.

    • Temperature: high heat speeds up cleaning but can cause shrinkage, damage, or fading.

The Esporta Advantage

  • Items are safely secured in four separate compartments.

  • No tumbling, twisting, or stress on items.

  • Uses hydraulic action – water and detergents are pushed through padding and material.

  • Minimal mechanical action = minimal wear and tear.

  • Three-stage detergent and disinfectant system removes 99.9% of bacteria and pathogens.

  • High-speed extract cycle removes water, prepping items for drying.

Esporta Detergents: Engineered for Health, Safety, and the Environment

Why Esporta Detergents Stand Out

  • Specifically designed for the Esporta system.

  • Bio-degradable, phosphate-free, chlorine-free, non-toxic, non-caustic.

  • pH neutral (6–7) – gentle on sensitive skin.

  • Safe for both users and the environment.

Superior Cleaning Features

  • Three proprietary detergent stages working in synergy with Esporta’s hydraulic wash system.

  • Optional essential oil-based fragrance or fabric softener in final rinse (not used to mask odor).

  • Effectively removes:

    • Odors, mold, bacteria

    • Blood and other bodily fluids

  • Sanitizes to food-grade standards – so clean, you could eat off it!

ATP Sampling

What Is ATP?

  • ATP stands for Adenosine Triphosphate – an organic molecule found in all living cells, including:

    • Animals

    • Plants

    • Bacteria

    • Yeast

    • Mold

What Is an ATP Sampler?

  • A scientific instrument used to detect bacterial contamination on surfaces.

  • Commonly used by:

    • Department of Health inspectors

    • Restaurant health officials

    • Food plant inspectors

  • Reads the presence of ATP (bacterial particles) on any swabbed surface.

Why We Use ATP Sampling

  • Integral to our cleaning verification process alongside the Esporta IS4000 system.

  • Helps scientifically confirm whether equipment and gear are truly clean and safe.

  • Ensures our cleaning meets the highest hygiene and health standards.

What Do the Readings Mean?

  • According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control):

    • Below 30 ATP particles: Safe surface, even safe enough to eat off of.

    • Above 30 ATP particles: Considered potentially hazardous and not hygienic.
